Announcements

Fall Registration Closed

The Fall term began August 17.  As usual we took registrations through the first week of the term, but they are now closed.  Students are welcome to begin registering for the next term now.  It begins January 11.

New Registration Form

We have launched the new registration form for the COS Online program.  This form will link directly with the Jenzebar CX program on campus for enrolling students.  This means 2 things.  First, students will be enrolled immediately in their courses when they submit a registration form.  Second, there will no longer be an option for sending a check at a later date.  Students who register will need to provide a valid credit card number or e-check information.  The new form will greatly speed up the enrollment procedure.

It is very important that this form is filled correctly for the registration to be accepted by our computer system.  Leave fields blank rather than entering zero's if you choose not to supply the requested information.

Tuition

For the past 3 years we have been able to hold our tuition at $100 per module.  However, due to inflation we need to increase the tuition to $110 per module. This takes effect January 2009.

Textbook requirement

Tracing the Story of God in the Bible is the only module in the COS Online program requiring a textbook.  Click here for information about this book.

Course of Study Online Commitment To Excellence

For the past 6 years NNU has been developing the Course Of Study Online program in close cooperation and consultation with the Clergy Development Office in Kansas City. Through this field-testing stage we have gained significant insight into the most effective, pedagogically sound manner of presenting the modules online. Simultaneously, we have adapted the program to meet the needs of the students while maintaining the integrity of the modules and the vision of Clergy Development for their implementation.  Our experienced and effective teachers will continue to give you a full 12 weeks of instruction in the enriched format to which you are accustomed as you prepare yourself for effective ministry.

We are pleased to announce that this commitment to quality and sound educational principles continues as we launch our fifth year.  All of our modules have been adapted for presentation on the most modern online software available today, Blackboard.  Every module has been adapted for online instruction by our full time university staff of professionals and is facilitated by a pastor/teacher who holds at least a Master’s degree.  We engage in a continual program to upgrade and improve our presentation of the modules to reflect the principles of good online educational principles.

As we move forward, we will continue our developmental partnership with the Clergy Development Office.  We will soon expand our program to include other Nazarene universities as partners who care deeply about you and your ministry preparation. This consortium of Nazarene universities is developing to cooperatively provide the COS modules online. You will be hearing more from your regional Nazarene university as this unfolds.

We look forward to helping you reach your ministry goals with the best possible COS Online instructional program.
