The Library Is Moving!
Beginning June 8, 2013, the Riley Library building will be closed to the public as the university begins construction of the new Leah Peterson Learning Commons. This project includes a 35,000 square foot addition to and complete remodeling of the current library building and is anticipated to take approximately one year to complete.
For now, here's the most important piece of information. The library will be closed June 8-23 so that staff, services and some collections can be relocated to the interim location in Helstrom Business Center. Do not anticipate any library services being provided during this two-week period. Library staff and all student assistants will be focusing on the move. Items may still be returned through the book drop at the entrance to Riley Library building.
So where do I go if I need to check out a book or use other library services? Excellent question! You can find its answer and others under our Library Migration FAQ page, or check the Migration Schedule for additional details.
If you have any further questions about the Great Migration or library services in general, please don't hesitate to ask a librarian.
