Requirements for the Associate Degree Nurse

Registered Nurses (RN’s) who presently hold an associate degree in nursing will be able to earn an MSN degree without earning a baccalaureate degree. Using a cohort model, this program offers a creative opportunity to efficiently earn a master's degree as a Nurse Educator.

All ADN’s must successfully complete specific undergraduate courses Pathophysiology and Statistics and three undergraduate nursing courses before entry into NNU's graduate program. The three undergraduate articulated nursing courses are Leadership Development(3), Community Health Nursing(3), and Nursing Research(3) or transfer equivalents. These required courses are online so students can study whenever and wherever its convenient to balance work, family, and school.  While students are enrolled in the undergraduate articulated nursing courses it would be advised to also complete Pathophysiology and Statistics.
