Master of Arts: Youth, Church, and Culture

There is no doubt that the world has changed.  And like it so have young people and their families.  In fact, the entire period of adolescence, that at the beginning of the 20th century lasted for but a year or two, now stretches well into the mid to late twenties!

Unfortunately, many youth ministers still function as they have for the past 35+ years.  No wonder why young people are leaving the Church.  We are often attempting to minister to young people that no longer exist.

Northwest Nazarene’s M.A. in Youth, Church and Culture is designed to prepare students for ministry to young persons and families through study of developmental, cultural, and spiritual formation in a practical theological framework.

Students who seek the M.A. in Youth, Church, and Culture from NNU do so in order to serve the Church or parachurch through ministry to young people in diverse forms.
