Program Overview
The Master of Science in Counseling program through Northwest Nazarene University has emphases in
- All programs are accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP).
- Classes are held on the NNU campus in the afternoons and evenings and some weekends.
- Students typically complete the program in three years, but are allowed up to six years.
- The program prepares students with the professional competencies necessary for entry level direct services work in the field of counseling and provide a base for doctoral level study.
- Beginning in the Fall of 2009, the tuition rate for the on campus Counseling classes will be $365 per semester credit.
- Admittance to the program requires a bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by a regional accrediting agency; a cummulative GPA of 2.8 in the baccalaureate program or 3.0 in the most recent 30 semester credits earned; and acceptance by the counseling faculty following an on-site interview.
