Meet Our Newest Faculty

Dr. Michael Pitts was named Associate Professor of Counseling in NNU’s Graduate Counseling Program and officially joined the department on August 1, 2008.

Dr. Pitts served as Assistant to the President/Director of Church Relations at Northwest Nazarene University from January 2007 to August 2008. Prior to this, he served on the Cabinet of Point Loma Nazarene University as Vice President for Spiritual Development. He also served in the pastorate in Moscow, Idaho, while he completed his Ph.D. in Counseling at the University of Idaho.

Dr. Pitts has a long record of service as chaplain, pastor, counselor, and professor, and has had a private counseling office as well.  We welcome his talents and gifts in the Counselor Education Department.
