ED 550 Teaching Diversity (2)
This course is designed to give you the knowledge, tools and dispositions to effectively facilitate a diverse classroom. It will help you understand and identify differences in approaches to learning and performance, including different learning styles and ways in which students demonstrate learning. An emphasis in this course will be on understanding how students’ learning is influenced by individual experiences, talents, disabilities, gender, language, culture, family and community values. You will be challenged to apply knowledge of the richness of contributions from our diverse society to your teaching field. The software program is designed to be loaded onto the hard drive of your personal computer from a compact disk (CD).
Be sure to indicate whether you want Pass/Fail or Graded Course. Please list date you wish to complete under course dates. The anticipated ending date must be established at the time of registration and that is the date on which grades will be posted, even if the course is completed earlier.
