HOW TO CREATE EDUCATIONAL IMPACT VIDEO TRAINING CREDIT COURSES FOR YOUR DISTRICT PERSONNEL:

Your district will need to be registered through Educational Impact for the course you wish to provide for your teachers and staff.  You must go through Educational Impact to receive the appropriate logins and passwords from them.

Steps to initiate an Educational Impact course for credit through NNU:

An NNU-approved instructor from your district or school is recommended.  This option will allow your district/school to choose your own beginning and ending dates.   The cost per credit will be $100 and the district/school instructor will receive and grade the individual collaboration/work logs from each registered student.  This will not require the instructor to monitor the students’ online time but to review their log sheets to verify that the student has met the course requirements.

Once you have registered with Educational Impact, you will also need to complete the instructor information, and the appropriate course forms, with the beginning and ending dates, found at www.nnu.edu/nnuforms.  Email the forms as attachments to Cheri Severson at pdcoordinator@nnu.edu.

Once that is done, those educators wishing to receive credit  will need to register through NNU's Professional Development Online Registration page.  The direct link to that site is www.nnu.edu/cereg .

Each participant must register for graduate professional development credit through this site within one week of the start date of the course.

When a student is at the Course Registration Web site, he or she should type the following information into the online form:

Dept & No:              EDEI5XXX
Course Title:            (Course Title)
Sem Cr:                   1
Class Begin:            (Your district's date)
Class End:               (Your district's date)
Location:                 Online
Instructor:               (Your district’s instructor)
Cost per Credit:       $100

**Educators will need to complete a course collaboration log to verify their hours of professional development graduate credit (45 hours).  They may use the log template linked here:  Educational Impact Collaboration Log Sheet.

Teachers or participants usually pay individually, but if the district is going to pay for the credit for all their teachers, teachers should indicate this in the Method of Payment  fields (after they have the PO number from their district) and they should indicate "Bill School or District" (in either the charge card number or expiration date fields), so NNU will be able to invoice the school district.
