IMPORTANT REGISTRATION AND CANCELLATION INFORMATION
REGISTRATION FOR ONLINE COURSES:
*Full payment is required at time of registration for online and home study courses. You may withdraw from Professional Development classes only if you do so prior to the end of the course. No refunds are given after the beginning of a class or after pre-registration deadlines. You may not withdraw after the course end date.
REGISTRATION FOR CAMPUS COURSES:
*Full payment is required by the first class for all campus courses, no refunds will be given after the first day of class. If students register for courses via online registration, they will not receive a refund after preregisration deadlines.
A course pre-registration deadline is a minimum of two weeks prior to beginning of the course. (Please check individual course listings for modified pre-registration dates.) At that date the instructor shall decide whether to teach the course for the number of pre-registered students or request that the course be canceled. Additional registrations will be allowed on a space available basis up to the first day of class for courses not canceled. Be sure to pre-register early to guarantee the course or courses in which you would like to participate.
Students are required to pay at least $75 or one-half the cost of the course when they preregister for a campus course. (Please check individual course listings for modified pre-registration deposit amounts or deadlines. Any additional course fees will be applied to the cost of the course.) If a student drops the course after the pre-registration deadline, the registration fee will be forfeited. If NNU cancels the course, course fees will be refunded.
Grades and Transcripts
An official grade report is mailed to the Continuing Education student from the Registrar’s office at the end of each course. Grade reports for Continuing Education courses are an official transcript. Grades will be posted to the permanent transcript at the same time.
Additional transcripts may be requested online, or by writing the Registrar's office. Include address, birth date, signature, place of birth, Social Security Number, the last course you took, and the complete destination address of the transcript. NNU does not charge for transcripts.
Students' Rights and Privacy Act
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) guarantees eligible students:
* The right to inspect and review education records
* The right to seek to amend education records
* The right to have some control over the disclosure of information from
education records
* The right to file a complaint with the Department of Education against
any institution for an alleged violation of their FERPA rights.
Records are defined as any information in any form.
Tuition Waivers
Tuition waivers do not apply toward co-sponsored courses, video courses, or workshops. Tuition waivers and other NNU institutional aid reductions apply only to tuition and not to amounts designated "course fee."
