What is the Core Degree Requirements Program?
The College Core Degree Requirements program is an accelerated program designed for the working adult. Students in need of General Education requirements may start in the accelerated College Core Degree Requirements program. Continue in any of the following accelerated majors: Business Administration, Christian Ministries or Elementary Education (ACE)
When are classes held?
Classes meet weekly, two nights per week Monday - Thursday from 6:00 – 10:00 p.m. in Nampa, courses also offered entirely online.
Is the Accelerated College Core Degree Requirements program on a semester schedule?
Yes. Typically each semester consists of 3 five week sessions.
I cannot attend the first session, is it possible to start anytime during the semester?
Yes. A student can begin general education courses at the beginning of any session.
How many credits do I need to enter the College Core Degree Requirements program?
A student can begin with zero credits.
How many credits do I need to graduate from NNU?
A minimum of 124 credits.
What is the typical length of a course?
Generally, a course lasts 5 weeks. A few courses are 7 weeks due to content.
Can I apply for financial aid and what is the FAFSA?
Yes, a student can apply for federal assistance online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. The FAFSA is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. Students also need to visit the NNU Financial Aid Page.
Do you offer any scholarships?
The program is already competitively priced and the program cost includes books, materials, and fees.
Acceptance will be determined when the above are met AND the individual has:
An overall grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.0 in all previous academic course work. (Individuals with a GPA of less than 2.0 may apply for provisional acceptance for one semester.)
Enrolled students should:
Register for classes by making an appointment with the College Core Degree Requirements office.
- Complete Registration Form
- Complete Schedule of Courses Form.
Pick up books for class.
- Books are typically distributed from 4:00p.m. – 6:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, one to two weeks prior to the first night of class.
