Classes meet Mondays and Thursdays, from 5:30-9:30 PM unless otherwise noted in the schedules.

Field Experience 

All students involved in the Education program are required to participate in field experiences in local public schools.  The field experience varies per semester, but it is at least 45 hours.  To receive credit for previous experiences in the classroom, documentation of experience must be approved by the Adult and Professional Program Director. 

Student Teaching 

The last 16 weeks of the program will be spent student teaching.  Student teachers will be in the classroom all day, Monday through Friday with no absences.

 

*Please note that students starting the program with a B.A. degree will be taking graduate level courses from the beginning of the program and have the option have completed the Master of Education in Curriculum & Instruction Degree with an additional eleven credits (which can take 2 semesters or more and involves a research project).
