Youth Ministry Minor

Youth Ministry Minor

What do you want to do with your life? Or more importantly, who has God created you to be and how has he called you to serve? If you think it might involve ministry to youth, then you need to seriously consider Northwest Nazarene University.

Come and join us in seeking to discern how Godís Spirit best directs us through our study of the Bible, Wesleyan theology, spiritual formation, adolescent development, global youth culture, and the best practices of youth ministry today -- all in an effort to reach and develop middle and high school students for the sake of God's kingdom.

NNU's Youth Ministry program prepares students personally through spiritual formation; academically through solid teaching in biblical interpretation, theology, and church history; and practically through a variety of experiences in the field of youth ministry, both locally and around the globe.

As a Youth Ministry minor, you will graduate from NNU with a solid foundation and a field-tested philosophy of youth ministry that will serve the kingdom of God well into the twenty-first century. Our faculty is respected locally, regionally, and internationally, including regular publications by leading edge resources like Barefoot Ministries and creative alliances with Youth Specialties Academic.

At NNU our students have the opportunity to learn from leading practitioners who remain active in ministry today so that in the end, they too will have a lasting impact on tomorrow's youth.

As the advisor for our Youth Ministry students, I am here to help. Feel free to contact me if I can assist you in any way.

Sincerely,

Prof. Mike Kipp
Professor of Youth & Family Ministries
