Why Nursing?
The extreme need for qualified healthcare professionals and growing number of aging Americans continues to fuel the demand for registered nurses (RNs). It is estimated that by 2025, there will be a shortage of up to 500,000 RNs according to The Future of the Nursing Workforce in the United States: Data, Trends and Implications and The American Association of Colleges of Nursing. Occupational Employment Projections to 2016 from the Monthly Labor Review indicated there will be a 23.5% increase in job growth through the creation of 587,000 nursing jobs across the nation by 2016.
