Music Alumni

The alumni of Northwest Nazarene University's art and music programs are vital to our ongoing mission.

For decades, young men and women have used their NNU experience as a training ground before launching their own successful careers in performance, teaching, ministry, freelance, and other professional avenues in the arts.

The following list highlights just a few of the highly successful NNU graduates who developed their God-given talents in our art and music programs:

Debra Ellis (1999), 2nd Violin, Boise Philharmonic Orchestra
Alan Nielsen (1991), Bass Clarinet, Boise Philharmonic Orchestra
Glen Ness (1987), Studio Artist
Paul Christianson (1986), Music Faculty, Trevecca Nazarene University
Travis Lewis (1986), Professional Singer
Kieth Peterson (1983), Music Faculty, Point Loma Nazarene University
Clayton Funk (1980), Art Faculty, Columbia University
Randy Rodes (1973), Bass Trombone, Boise Philharmonic Orchestra
George Turner (1973), Principal Trombone, Boise Philharmonic Orchestra

Of course, these names represent only a tiny fraction of our graduated art and music professionals.  Countless others serve in a wide variety of ways, where they shine the light of Christ through the arts every day.
