Job Market: Where Can You Go?

Where can you go with a Mass Comm degree?  Once you leave NNU, if you've applied yourself and taken advantage of every opportunity, you'll be prepared for entry-level positions in a variety of media industries.  Such positions might include:

  • Studio crew at a local TV station
  • Videographer at an independent production house
  • Public Relations work at a corporation
  • Media ministry in a local church or church headquarters
  • Film assistant at an independent movie studio
  • Media production on a mission field
  • Video specialist on a cruise ship
  • Videographer for tourist attractions
  • TV news photographer
  • TV program producer or editor
  • Film critic for a home-town newspaper
  • Scriptwriter

But you'll also be ready for work on your own, as a(n):

  • Freelance crew member
  • Owner of your own video production company
  • Freelance screenwriter
  • Independent filmmaker
  • Documentary filmmaker

Much depends, of course, on your own personal drive and, to some extent, your talent.  But we'll commit to doing our part to provide you with all the tools you'll need to be successful in whatever field of mass communication you choose.

  • Independent film producers and directors
