The Friesen Galleries consist of two galleries: the east gallery displays selections from the university’s permanent holdings—sculpture, paintings, and prints from professional artists. The west gallery is a rotating exhibition space featuring the work of professional artists, full- and part-time faculty, and graduating students.
The Friesen Galleries facilitate our human ability to express and communicate aesthetic awareness. The galleries provide a visual education whereby students enhance their appreciation for art, and an environment for encouraging their artistic skills and talents.
The galleries are open M–F, 9am–5pm and are located on the second floor of NNU’s Brandt Center.
Art In Idaho
In addition to departmental trips to Seattle and Portland to view art, the Boise area offers an array of art venues and opportunities for students to enjoy. In addition to the links below, every first Thursday of the month, the Treasure Valley participates in a citywide art walk to galleries, theatres, and museums in Boise.
