Students serve the local community

Serve Day is an incredible NNU tradition that is impactful for both students and the organizations that are served. This year, students and campus community members went to Hope House, Deer Flat National Wildlife Refuge, and the neighborhoods surrounding campus to volunteer in various ways.

CSMA hosts writer and entrepreneur Brian Ogstad

NNU's Center for the Study of Market Alternatives will host national speaker, writer and entrepreneur Brian Ogstad Tuesday, October 4, 7-9 p.m. in the Harter Lecture Hall. Professor Ogstad will present a lecture on “The Power of Entrepreneurship.”

Inspired to teach the next generation

With our secondary education program ranked 14th in the nation and our elementary education program ranked 16th in the nation by NCTQ, it’s easy to understand why aspiring teachers choose NNU. The real question is what inspired all these young people to pursue a career educating children and youth? Four senior students share their answers.

Nursing department to hold White Coat Ceremony

NNU has been selected as the first Idaho school to host a White Coat Ceremony. This ground-breaking collaboration between the Arnold P. Gold Foundation (APGF) and the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) was developed to promote humanistic, patient-centered care among future generations of registered nurses. NNU will hold its ceremony on Monday, September 26 at 6 p.m. in the Swayne Auditorium.

This past Saturday, NNU students spent time serving the community at Hope House, Deer Flat National Wildlife Refuge and the neighborhoods surrounding campus. Erik Birnel, @nnusga community relations coordinator, shared “Serve Day is a great NNU tradition because working and spending time with others builds relationships. Congrats to Hailey Cook on being named GNAC Offensive Player of the Week! 🏐 Hailey loves being a student-athlete because it allows her to play the sport she loves while also working towards her future career as a nurse.
