Fall Science Retreat
Every fall, faculty and students from our health and science classes have the chance to spend a weekend together up in the mountains. Students are able to share their research through posters and presentations, and it is a great opportunity for students and professors to get to know each other. Activities range from Ultimate Frisbee to an instructor-guided Wildlife Safari, and also include hiking, fishing, volleyball, board games, and much more. Mid-Term Bash
Every fall, the school sponsors a pizza buffet and Italian soda bar for health and science faculty and students. The three-hour event is always popular and no one ever leaves hungry.
Senior Seminar Presentations
Every spring, graduating science, math and psychology majors have the opportunity to present their research to interested faculty and students from NNU in a formal setting. To view abstracts and photos from previous years, click here.
Student Presentations at Conferences
Students have the opportunity to present their research through posters and oral presentations at several state-wide annual meetings sponsored by scientific societies and research foundations. These include the INBRE Conference, the Murdock College Science Research Program, and the Idaho Academy of Science Annual Meeting. To view abstracts and photos from previoius years, click here.
Academic Year Awards
The year-end awards ceremony is held annually in early May. Honorees are presented with certificates, scholarships and awards. Teaching assistants are also recognized. To view a list of past recipients, click here.
