Northwest Nazarene University is exempt from sales tax in the State of Idaho. All purchases made on behalf of the university should be exempt from Idaho State Sales Tax.
In order to qualify for sales tax exemption, form ST101 must be presented at the point of sale to the vendor. If a credit account exists with a vendor, form ST101 may already be on file, if this is the case, then it isn't necessary to provide them with a new copy.
Any person/entity making a purchase from NNU must pay sales tax unless they are exempt from sales tax. In order to grant exemption on a sale, form ST101 must be provided to the campus office handling the transaction. The exemption should be logged in the "Sales Tax Exemption Certficates" spreadsheet located at S:\Common|Business Office. The password to this file can be obtained from Janet Minor.
