The Environmental Safety and Health Office for NNU was established in 1998 to coordinate development, training, oversight, and outreach activities relating to occupational and environmental health needs on campus.
The mission of the ES&H is to promote health, safety, and well being in the workplace. Thus leading to the overall goal of responding to the complex governmental regulatory issues related to health and safety issues (such as OSHA, EPA, NIH, and others) as they impact campus departments and employees.
