Get Involved!

That's what you'll hear around the Office of Campus Life.  The office works to give all students an opportunity to become involved in various roles of leadership, leadership development, as well as fun and diverse activities. Our view is that life at the university is a learning experience encompassing knowledge, responsibility, and growth to all areas of life.

The key word we use to describe a great college experience is: INVOLVEMENT!

Click here to read Tim's student leadership blog for tips, ideas, and leadership development tools.

OPPORTUNITIES FOR INVOLVEMENT:

There is a place for YOU!
Student Leadership positions are available by being a part of Student Government:

    * ASNNU Executive Council
    * ASNNU Senate
    * ASNNU Judicial Board
    * Class Councils
    * Faculty/Student Committees

Other avenues of involvement are through the various clubs that are active among the campus community. If publications are your niche, you can be a part of the staff of the Crusader, our school newspaper, or the Oasis, our yearbook. There is also the Brick House which is a  student facility and has director positions available.   Plus, in 2003 we've added the position of Student Center Director.   This person oversees the programming and overall atmosphere of the Student Center and Amity Perk [NNU's coffee shop].

Outdoor Recreation Club

NNU is excited about this new resource that is available for students and staff of the university.  Rent a variety of outdoor equipment.  All equipment is currently housed at the Admissions Welcome Center.  Contact Lance Nelson (8950) for more information.

THE BRICK HOUSE

The Brick House is designed for students to use. The Brick House offers you a place with a home atmosphere to have parties, watch movies, play games, or just hang out. You can reserve the Brick House directly with the Brick House Directors or in the Campus Life Office at no cost to you.
